New datasets published

• June 2026 datasets were published from EHRI Status, Dynamics, and Payroll data feeds.

• USAJOBS current job announcements are updated as of July 29, 2026.

• The Status and Dynamics files reported by DD07/DD21 and DD35 are missing from the June 2026 release due to a change in data processing at the Department of War. This affects certain visuals and raw data outputs. Data will be updated once all files are received. There are approximately 83,000 missing records from the following components: AF3T, AF6D, ARXF, DD01, DD02, DD04, DD06, DD07, DD08, DD10, DD12, DD13, DD16, DD21, DD23, DD25, DD26, DD27, DD29, DD34, DD35, DD48, DD53, DD61, DD63, DD65, DD68, DD69, DD71, DD74, DD80, DD81, DD82. This issue is expected to persist through at least the July 2026 submission, currently scheduled for release on September 2, 2026. Once these providers are able to submit, we will re-release the data for the affected months.

• No other significant data quality issues have been identified.

Updated the GPPA Navigator

• Search improvements: a new "Exact match" toggle on Rule and Remarks search and highlighted match terms in the chapter/table details on hover.

• Added the Quick Sheet: Determining Creditable Service for Leave to Summary page support resources, plus a banner on every page linking to the GPPA PDF.

• Minor content corrections across GPPA rules, authorities, and remarks to ensure Navigator guidance matches the GPPA PDF.

Introduced Guide to Processing Personnel Actions (GPPA) Navigator, a searchable reference tool for federal HR personnel action coding

• GPPA Navigator is a new web-based tool available under Policy & Guidance > Tools that helps HR Specialists identify the correct codes for personnel actions without manually searching across the GPPA PDFs.

• Guidance reflected in the Navigator is current as of July 2026. This is the initial release.

• Rule search and filters

  • Search GPPA tables by keyword across all chapters, or browse by chapter and table.

  • Narrow results by Nature of Action Code (NOAC) or Legal Authority Code (LAC).

• Codes and remarks, and export

  • View the NOAC, LAC, and notes for the selected rule.

  • Browse and search required and additional remarks, filtered to the relevant chapter.

  • Review a complete summary of selections and linked references and export to a Word document.

Updated FWD Data Dictionary

• Includes definitions for duty station city, department, department code and pathways group.

Duty Stations page loads US tab automatically upon page visit

Updates to dropdown filters, field naming conventions, and layout on the Bargaining unit profiles visual

• Added Department and Agency dropdown filters; renamed "BUS"/"BUS code" fields and dropdown filter to "Bargaining unit code," renamed "Activity" fields to "Bargaining unit description," and retitled "Unit description" (detail drill-in) to "Recognition and coverage".

• Added a "Bargaining unit code" row to the detail card and swapped the Bargaining unit code/OLMR number column order in the list view.

• Removed CPDF code column and added the agency subelement code to Subagency name/column.

• The recent increase in the percentage of employees covered by a bargaining unit is due to a recent court order requiring the Department of Veterans Affairs to restore a union contract for more than 300,000 employees.

Added "Give feedback" button across all pages on site

• Feedback helps us improve the Federal Workforce Data site. This update removes barriers to sharing input, making it quicker and more convenient to tell us what's working and what could be better.

Added default "All" option to EHRI Data Validation Checks page

• The table now defaults to displaying all EHRI Data Validation Checks across Data file types, giving users a complete view without needing to filter first.

Added Duty station country to Table Builder filters

• This new filter option gives users greater flexibility to explore workforce distribution across both U.S. and international duty stations.

Active filter chips are now displayed on the Table Builder and all Explore Data and Data Quality pages

• As users make filter selections on all visuals within FWD and in Step 4 of the Table Builder, applied filters will appear as filter chips in the active filter area, giving a clear view of what's been selected and making it easy to remove filters without needing to reopen each dropdown.

• On Steps 2 and 3 of the Table Builder, a filter list will display as Timeframe and Table Elements are added from the dropdowns.

• The "Select all" option has been removed from filter dropdowns site wide. Filters must now be selected individually.

Added Table Builder feature under Explore Data > Data in the navigation menu

• The Table Builder feature allows users to generate and export custom workforce data tables for the Employment, Accessions, and Separations datasets using configurable filters across key demographics and employment attributes. It introduces a structured, step-based workflow beginning with dataset and timeframe selection, followed by configuration of rows, columns, and metrics, with optional filters available for further refinement. This feature provides users with the ability to generate a table using any data available as raw data on FWD, similar to the previous Data Cubes in FedScope.
